Community Food Share Corporate Challenge 2016

For the second year in a row, our PST Louisville office joined the Community Food Share challenge, raising $1,410 in donations. Proceeds went to local foodbanks and homeless shelters. cfs-corporate-challenge-logoCommunity Food Share is Boulder and Broomfield Counties’ food bank.

Partnering with Union Pacific’s (UP) Employee Resource Group (ERG) Lead, Educate, Achieve and Develop (LEAD) and UP’s MoneyPlus matching program, the money total came to an outstanding $3,055. When combined with PST’s 130 pounds of food collections from 2015, PS Technology provided meals for 4,230 people.

The goal is to collect donated food from various sources to then provide the food to about 45 local human service agencies for free. Some of these agencies include the Emergency Family Assistance Association and Boulder Shelter for the Homeless.

The 2016 Corporate Challenge ran from May 9th to May 25th 2016 and raised a grand total of $468,606. This totals to 1,470,000 meals provided for Broomfield and Boulder counties.
