Physics Train Builder Enables Union Pacific Railroad to Win Another International Technology Award

Physics Train Builder continues to receive international recognition for its contribution to railroad safety and operational improvements.

Union Pacific Railroad (UP) has been honored with the Transport Tech Company of the Year award by the Global Business Tech Awards 2025 competition. PST’s Physics Train Builder (PTB) featured a prominent role in UP’s focused effort to become the best railroad in North America by using technology to improve operational safety. UP uses PTB to analytically model and test every train on the UP network before it is actually released to run. The PTB system also monitors trains during their runs to better manage changing conditions and loads during the train’s trip.
